How they work

General Description
The discreet cover plate conceals the sprinkler operation components within the ceiling void. The flat profile of the plate provides the optimum aesthetically pleasing appearance. By comparison, the discs are slightly smaller than a typical downlighter; as the picture shows. Cover plates come in various finishes, including; chrome; brass; off white, bright white, flat white and most RAL custom colours.

Operation
As the head becomes exposed to heat from a fire, at approx. 68 degrees Celcius, the connecting solder melts and the cover plate falls away. At this point the sprinkler deflector drops down into its operating position. The sprinkler is activated a few seconds later when a temperature of approx. 78 degrees C is reached at the head valve allowing the water through at a predetermined rate.

Installation and Certification
All installations must be carried out by suitably trained and qualified installers, provided by us, as a part of the installation package. CPVC water distribution pipes are used in most of our installations due to their dependability, ease of installation and consequent low cost; they are far less expensive than the metal alternatives.
All installations must be Certificated by us, as Approved Installers..

Quantity of sprinklers  heads
Individual sprinkler heads will provide adequate cover to an approximate area of 12 ft x 12 ft. Where odd shaped rooms occur, more heads may well be required. Pricing of the systems cannot therefore be calculated purely using area equivalents.
